Gazing at the profound mystery of life, we stand in this present moment, where the everlasting and the transient meet. Our days on this earthly journey are but fleeting shadows, casting a reminder of the impermanence of existence. We realize that time is indeed a precious gift. In the absence of certainty and clarity, how are we to find meaning, hope, and perseverance for our journey? How do we redeem our days and make them count?
The reflection was delivered on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I am a proud, passionate liberal thinker, social-justice advocate, entrepreneur, creative thinker, and songwriter whose mission in life is to try be the change that I hope someday would be in the world. I am also a husband, father and community minister. I hold an undergraduate degree in Organizational Leadership, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Master of Divinity degree. Currently, I am serving as the Managing Director of Clergy 211, an organization of inclusive and progressive clergy that provide non-judgmental rite-of passage ceremonies for all people from all walks of life.
