Heaven for Everyone

This exploration questions the traditional concepts of salvation and the afterlife, challenging us with the idea: What if heaven is not just for the select few but truly for everyone? Through the lens of Bishop Carlton Pearson’s life and the Universalist perspective, we embark on a journey that crosses paths with various beliefs and theologies, from Christianity’s promise of redemption for all to atheism’s focus on ethical living without an afterlife. This sermon invites you to ponder the profound implications of universal salvation, the essence of divine justice versus mercy, and how these concepts influence our understanding of humanity’s collective future. Are we all destined for the same outcome after death, regardless of our earthly deeds? Join us as we navigate these complex theological waters, leaving room for introspection, discussion, and, of course, more questions.

The message was delivered on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
