Traditional faith is the belief and assurance of having the things one is hoping for. But one can have faith without having to believe or be convinced that there are no alternative outcomes than what one is envisioning. Faith is not belief; in this model, faith is more closely aligned with trust. And trust is not necessarily tied to the outcomes, but rather more attracted to the process. It is in the acceptance of the present moment over and above any desired future state. Trust affirms what is present, respects what is past, and has no hold on what is to come but knows that the possibilities are endless.
